This book is great fun - equally suspenseful and funny.  Travel the underground with Rory, the heroine,  in search of a  'Jack the Ripper' copycat.  Help comes in many guises along the way.  The supernatural element introduced into the story feels completely natural.  In fact, I've started looking over my shoulder to see what's there.  I can't wait for the next in the series.

Set in England after WW1, this novel explores the psychological trauma of war on civilians and soldiers alike.  The mystery surrounding John Emmett's death raises questions as to whom is the true enemy in wartime. The realistic details of everyday life add to the suspensful atmosphere that make the reader feel as though she is living on the page with the characters

Kept me on the edge of my seat and I did not want to put this book down the whole time I was reading it.  Great cast of characters in this cop thriller.

Easy to make and just in time for summer.

Winspears' newest books in this series never disappoint.  A great whodunit together with psychological insight into the milieu and mindset of World War 1 and its aftermath.
